Bubbie Rose

Today is the 12th anniversary of my mother's death. I remember her by lighting a Yahrzeit candle tonight. I do this every year on the date on the Jewish calendar that she passed away. I thought that you might like to see some of her pictures when she was young. In the one dated 1925 with my Aunt Bernice, she was only 14 years old, and in the one dated 1931 she was only 20. She was married in 1933 at the age of 22 and I was born a year later.....Dad

this picture just reminded me of pictures of us when we were small.

This one however... cracks us up.   A trash truck that caters weddings?!  Would you eat that food !!!!  I'm not sure they thought this concept/ad through all the way.

Mino

from when we first got her... she looks like a kitty of the soul eating variety i think.

Spoke to Hannah last week and she told me that she has finally named her kitten. Her name is MINO. Like in do-mino, because of (2) white spots on her black body.

Washington visit

We were in the air and space museum.  Shaina took this picture of an interesting exhibit.  Note... it is the mounting space and electrical wire for an "exhibit to be".   It made me smile.

Is this how a nine year old views the white house... I guess she thinks things are a little crooked too : )
